The open design of means it needs to turn to new strategies in order to combat the harsh desert conditions while retaining its contemporary appeal. This was accomplished by Kevin B Howard Architects using a unique blend of traditional adobe walls and a series of wafer-thin overhangs!
Ponce Arquitectos the fabulous residence sits on an L-shaped lot and its historic past and unique silhouette defined this exciting modern makeover. It is the lower level of the home that steals the spotlight with its open plan living area that also contains the dining room and kitchen along with an additional guest space a wine cellar and a striking indoor garden.
The entrance of the lavish home is marked by arched walkways and corridors typical of that classic Tuscan home. Comfort is draped in cloak of natural goodness and inviting warmth as reclaimed barn timber beams recycled terra-cotta tiles and custom design solutions turn the interior into a timeless world full of wonder and delight.
Designed by Stephan Maria Lang it is this living area that becomes the heart and soul of the house as it extends into the lavish deck pool area and garden outside. The infinity pool and outdoor dining and sitting space provide a relaxing getaway that seems removed from the rush of fast-paced urban life.
