Much like the brilliant indoor garden a wall of tiles next to the staircase ends up being a showstopper and this eclectic collection of colorful tiles is repeated in the courtyard and bathroom to give a sense of continuity and cohesion. This dazzling collage was crafted by the designer by bringing together the various tiles used by him in other projects an effort that cuts back on cost and unnecessary wastage of materials.

With the addition of the two-story structure much of the original home serves as a smart buffer zone and now houses a home studio and playroom.
The overall silhouette of the home which was brought to life by Berner Loftfield definitely draws its inspiration from the timeless architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. The super-slim cantilevered roofs keep out the sun while extending the living space outdoors and giving the residence a distinct contemporary vibe.
While the lower level features only the living area the top floor contains the small dining space and a cool kitchen with an ergonomic eating bar and granite benchtops. A luxurious master suite along with three additional bedrooms means there is ample sleeping space for a large family and guests over the weekend. Then there is the lovely sitting area with Juliet balconies that lets you take in the sights and sounds outside.
